i have scissors style pontoon trailer and i have discovered that the wheel width is about 1 inch to wide. it has 185/80-13 in 4 hole wheels i was wondering if the 4.80-12 would be narrower

The tire size of 4.80-12 like what comes on the part # AM30630 is right at 3 inches narrower overall than the tire size of 185/80-13 so you would gain over an inch of inner sidewall room like you are needing.
