Does Curt Trailer Hitch For 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Have Enough Tongue Weight For 4-Bike Rack
Updated 04/18/2022 | Published 04/17/2022 >
Question:
Hi, I’m considering buying this hitch to install a 4 bike rack. The 525 lbs tongue weight does not seem a lot considering the rack and the 4 bikes weight. Any thoughts on whether this will hold securely and safely the weight while driving? Thanks.

Yes, you will absolutely be able to carry a 4-bike rack on your 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander with the Curt hitch that fits, which is the following part number:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C87WR
The 525 lb tongue weight of the # C87WR is enough to handle any 4-bike rack and its bikes, even the ones that weigh the most and have the most capacity.
For example, the heaviest you can get is the 291-1/2 lb total (91-1/2 lbs for the rack and 50 lbs per-bike) of the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # HR1400Z.
