what is the length of the vertical piece? 3inch ? 2 3/4inch ? this may help clarify that this piece will fit mine.

The is measurement from top to bottom of the Lippert RV Entry Screen Door Latch - LH, # LC201472 is 3-11/16" with a 1-3/16" for width. The holes are located about 3" on center from each other as shown in the product review video on the product page.
