Using SuperSprings SumoSprings On a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 With Weight Distribution

Question:

Here is the problem Im trying to solve. When towing a travel trailer and using a weight distribution hitch, Im not exceeding any of my weights and the trailer pulls very stable and no sway. But when I go over larger bumps at highway speeds, the rear of the truck feels like compressing a lot and then bouncing around. This seems to be because of the soft suspension...though it doesnt feel like its bottoming out Its a bit disconcerting. Ive read other questions where you say sumo springs can be used together with a WDH. Im hoping the sumo springs would stay out of the way most of the time and just kick in for the larger bumps. Ill be picking up our new travel trailer in the next few weeks and the RV dealer will be installing my WDH on it. So my questions are, 1. will the sumo springs help with this issue? 2. Should I install the sumo springs before the RV dealer sts up the WDH, or get the WDH set up first and then install sumo springs? Does it matter? Thanks.

Yes, the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS65FR will help with the bouncing that you are getting with a weight distribution hitch on your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500. The SumoSprings are progressive so they will help to absorb the bounce that the suspension is having when you go over bridges. You may notice a firmer ride when you do not have additional loads being carried as the suspension compresses due to large pot holes.

The SumoSprings can be installed before or after the weight distribution is set up for your new trailer.
