Does the repeater need to be mounted outside of the trailer or can it be mounted in the underpass?

The repeater of the Tuson Towable Tire Pressure Monitoring System, # 335TPMS4WIVS can be mounted inside the cargo area of the RV. However, ideally, to get best RF transmission between repeater and tire pressure sensors, it should be in an open space and no/limited barriers between tire pressure sensors.

For travel trailers with a bumper pull A-frame hitch, it is best place the repeater onto the A-frame area of the trailer and then use the self-tapping screws to fasten it to the A-frame. While for 5th Wheels and gooseneck trailers select a location for the repeater near the house battery.
