Will Prest-O-Fit RV Outdoor Rug Allow Water to Pool

Question:
We are looking at this to cover our deck so our 1 year old doesnt get splinters this summer... wondering if water will run through it, dont want it to hold water. Thanks!

The Prest-O-Fit RV Outdoor Rug # PR38VR has a marine backing which is nice if you were to put this on the ground as it would keep water from seeping up through the rug, but it doesn't really let water seep through it so you would need to air or sun dry it. You could also try to make sure the center is slightly raised to get as much water to run off as possible.
An alternative solution is the Prest-O-Fit Aero-Weave RV Outdoor Rug w/ Storage Bag # PR63VR which has small pores in it that would keep the water from pooling. It wouldn't be as soft as the rug but this would give you a different surface than just bare wood.
