Speed Rating of Kenda & Loadstar ST175/80-13 Trailer Tire - Load Range C
Question:
Wondering what the speed rating is for these tires? Thanks!

The speed rating is 81 mph for the Loadstar ST175/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire - Load Range C # AM1ST76, but I definitely do not recommend them for highway use, despite that. The reason for that is they are a bias tire, which means they are very stiff, will run hotter, and won't last as long on highway use as a radial tire. So instead, for highway use I highly recommend a radial from Kenda:
- Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range C # AM10199
The # AM10199 also has an 81 mph speed rating, and being a radial tire (which means its cords run from side-to-side instead of diagonally like a bias tire, allowing more flex), it is going to also last for a longer time and give you a smoother ride.
