I see the weight of the MPG461B2 is 271 lbs and the weight of the MAL25FR is 197 lbs. If they are built on the same platform, why is the weight so much different?

Excellent question, so I took a look and it turns out the "1" and "7" were backwards, so it should have been 217 lbs, which I verified with Malone. So here are the weights for both trailers:
- 217 lbs: Malone MicroSport Trailer for 2 Heavy Kayaks - 7' Bunks # MPG461B2
- 197 lbs: Malone LowBed MicroSport Trailer for 2 Heavy Kayaks - 7' Bunks # MAL25FR
