Will The Thule Outway Fit My 2022 Hyundai Kona, If Not What Do You Recommend

I am concerning about the contact point on the glass if it will give too much pressure on it especially when you tightening the wire or if I lower the outway down a bit to let the hatchback kits sit on the door will work ?

I do have trunk racks that will fit your 2022 Hyundai Kona. Unfortunately, Thule does not offer any trunk bike racks compatible with your vehicle. You could go with the Saris Bones EX 2 Bike Rack - Adjustable Arms - Trunk Mount, part # SAR83FR. This is an updated version of the Saris Bones that I used to transport bikes on road trips well over 1,000 miles in total. The new version is designed to alleviate stress on your vehicle's spoiler. You will not have any issues with this bike rack applying too much pressure on the glass of your hatchback.

If you prefer a platform style bike rack, you will have to get a trailer hitch installed on your vehicle. This is actually my preference if I have to choose between carrying a bike on my hatchback or on a hitch bike. The hitch bike rack option is always more stable. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class 3 - 2", part # DT52GR, is compatible with all trim levels of your Kona. It has a maximum tongue weight of 300 lbs, so your hitch bike rack and the bikes you carry cannot exceed this amount, this should not be a problem.

The hitch bike rack I recommend is the Thule Easyfolt XT Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # TH903202, this is a hitch platform rack that can carry two bikes up to 65 lbs each. It weighs 45 lbs, so you will be able to carry most bikes without any issues.
