Hitch Receiver for a 2016 Volvo S60 R-Design

Question:

Will receiver #75916 fit 2016 Volvo S60 T6 AWD R-Design? What drilling or trimming would be required? I intend to attach bicycle rack 1-UP USA 2? Heavy Duty Double which is a two tray type, weighing 46 lbs and is rated for 50 lbs per bike tray. Please include installation notes/tips Thank-you.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 75916 does fit your 2016 Volvo S60 T6 AWD. It doesn't require any drilling but you will have to make a 2" x 2" cut for the receiver tube to extend below your Volvo's trim. Once the installation is complete you will not be able to see this cut unless you are looking up from underneath your car. I have linked an installation video along with the instructions. At the 8 minute mark is when you will see the necessary cuts being made. This hitch has a 400 lbs tongue weight capacity so you will have no problem using your 1-UP USA 2 bike rack. You will want to check your Volvo's owners manual to confirm your vehicles tongue weight capacity.
