Will The Rock Tamers Mud Flap System Fit On A Shocker Hitch HD Ball Mount

Question:

What about the Gen-Y Torsion hitch will it work with that one?

While your Rock Tamers Heavy-Duty, Adjustable Mud Flap System for 2-1/2" Hitches - Matte Black # ERT00110 will physically fit the shank of the Shocker Hitch HD Ball Mount # SHK35VR, it will also interfere with the design of the shock absorber. As you can see in the attached picture the hub for the Rock Tamers comes into contact with the sidewalls of the mount, preventing it from flexing back and forth to absorb road shock.

If you can tell me the year/make/model of your truck I can find some alternative mounting mud flaps to help protect your trailer from rocks, mud, and other debris.

The Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-1324 has a 2.875" distance from the mount to the first hitch pin hole so you'll need to measure how far back your hitch pin hole sits on your trucks trailer hitch to ensure that you have at least 1" of space to fit the hub of your Rock Tamers Heavy-Duty, Adjustable Mud Flap System for 2-1/2" Hitches # ERT00110.

Hi, I have a 2015 GMC 2500 w/ 2"receiver and currently using a modified curt cushioned hitch (drilled a new hole into the hitch) to be able to use it with my rock tamers. Can you suggest a better alternative? Could I run a shocker hitch with the tamers or?? Please let me know. tks, Matt

@MattA we do not have an alternative to use the actual Rock Tamers and they won't be compatible with the Shocker Hitch. The only option we have is a different set of mud flaps that mount on the vehicle and not the receiver.

@RobinH Could you steer me to the best option for vehicle mounted flaps? Looking to protect as best as possible a painted boat that I tow.

@MattA assuming this is gas and you don't have the deployable bed step you can use the # A95NG. This gives full coverage all the way across to protect the boat. It also has lynch pins so you can detach it when not in use. If you have a diesel engine it would be # A75NG.
