Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2009 Nissan Altima
Published 03/14/2022 >
Question:
I have an 09 Altima sedan and I want to put a hitch on, but I’m a little sketchy on the ground clearance. I think I’m over that now out of necessity and I saw the draw tight comes recommended, but I’m not a big fan of just bolting it to the wheel wells and having it cantilevered like that as much as I like the Curt model having less leverage and is actually attached to the unibody portion that seems obviously the better way to go? I can’t see the bar exposure on the Curt model from blur and was hoping maybe it was tucked a little better. Something about permanent heat shield removal I’m assuming the hitch offers a little deflection. Is there any unforeseen that I’m going to witness upon installation and blurt out “what the hell”? Any help would be greatly appreciated cuz I wanna pull the trigger, but like I said I’m leaning towards that Curt just from my fabrication background.

Since you like the Curt # C11352 for your 2009 Altima and it's just as tucked to the rear bumper of the vehicle as the Draw Tite it would be the way to go. These hitches are thoroughly tested so as long as you are under the weight capacity of the vehicle and the hitch you'd be safe.
