I went ahead and did some research on your WeatherTech folding aluminum AlloyCover. From the photos I found, it looks like the AlloyCover installs on the inside of the bed rails of your 2018 GMC Canyon and leave the stake pockets on the rail caps completely open.

If this is the case, I recommend the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum # A4000950 (for 5-foot beds) or the # A4000951 (for 6-foot beds). The advantage of the Pro Series lies in the fact that it installs completely in the truck's exposed stake pockets so that it will not interfere with your tonneau cover. Also, it comes with straight upright bases. The vast majority of other stake-pocket ladder racks have bases that angle inward toward the truck. With this angle, tonneau covers will rub against the uprights. You do not have this issue with the Pro Series. In addition, the ladder rack allows you to add some great accessories like the adjustable load stops # A4000880 and tie-down bolts # A4000882. For straps for the tie-down bolts, I recommend the Erickson Cam Buckle Tie-Down Straps w/ S-Hooks - 2" x 8' # EM34409.
