Question:
Looking to replace three nylon door sockets for down windows on a horse trailer. Appears present item on trailer is DH605. Reading some of your QandAs it sounds like the PLR Plunger and Rubber Socket Door Holders might do a better job in windy conditions. Windows are often left open while driving. I assume the two sockets are not interchangeable. Would you recommend changing to the PLR for my situation?

Expert Reply:
The two sockets # DH38S and # DH600S are not interchangeable, unfortunately.
Both of these will work the same and both will do a great job holding the windows open, however, since you mentioned you have DH605, you'll need the Replacement Nylon Socket for DH604 and DH605 # DH600S.
If you wanted to swap out the entire assembly to the rubber sockets, you'll need the Plastic Stem and Rubber Socket Door Holder # DH39R.
