Question:

I am looking for a cargo cover for the 24x40 fold down. The plan is put the generator and some other items. I dont want a bag because i dont want to have to remove the generator to use it but do want sun/rain protection as well as a small amount of security for it.

It sounds like you are looking for a enclosed carrier like the GearDeck 17 # H00604 as we do not have a cover for the 24x40 etrailer Cargo Carrier # e99050.

The GearDeck carrier will allow you to protect your generator and other gear from the rain and sun. You are able to Lock # 131D the lid for the carrier as well to add security to your gear. You will need a Ultra-Fab 2" Motor Home Trailer Hitch Receiver for 4" x 4" Bumpers # UF35-946401 to slide the carrier into as it is designed to attach to a receiver.
