Question:
Hi there why is it not recommended to use an external electric pump? I want to use this in my off road trailer and would need it to be pumped with an electric pump. Thank you

The reason you can't use an electric pump with the Valterra RV Water Tank # R8036 is because they are made from lightweight plastic, and is baffled for surge control so they aren't designed to withstand the additional pressure that is created from an electric pump.
