This is a frequent question we get and I have a solution for you but the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller item # RED44FR does not have a plug in wiring harness available for your 2021 Ford Ranger. It must be hard wired into your truck. There are no plug in wiring harnesses available for any brake controller for your Ranger. Ford decided not to put a port to plug in a brake controller so that is why there are none available for Ford Rangers and there are plug in adapters for other manufacturers.
For a brake controller with an easy installation method that is not invasive at all, I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller item # C51180. The Echo requires no wiring and plugs directly into the 7-way connector on your Ranger. It is a proportional brake controller that you are able to run through Bluetooth on your phone. Once the unit is paired, you will be able to configure your desired trailer brake settings in their app. The controller uses Bluetooth to communicate with the app so you will never lose service traveling in rural areas. If your phone loses power the settings will not be affected. I have linked an installation video on a 2019 Ford Ranger that shows ease of set up for the Curt Echo item # C51180.
