I do have options for you to install a 7-way trailer wiring harness and brake controller on your 2009 Subaru Tribeca but we do not offer a kit with all of this included. Instead, you would need to purchase each of the components separately. For starters, you will need a 4-way trailer wiring harness if you do not already have one and for that I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118461 which is a plug and play kit that will not require any cutting or splicing.
Then you will need a 4 to 7-way adapter and for this I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7 which also includes everything else you will need to install a brake controller. Then for the brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 which is one of our best selling controllers due to its integrated safeguards and continual diagnostic checks.
I have linked a few sample install videos on the above parts for you as well to give you a better idea of what all is involved. The combination of these three parts will give you everything you need to install a 7-way and brake controller.
