You could replace your Atwood G6A-8E RV Water Heater with the Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR, which is a similar 6 gallon tank but smaller dimensions, but I highly recommend switching to a tankless system like the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater 60,000 BTU # FR98SR.

It is 12-5/8" L x 12-13/16" W x 19-3/16" D so you'll need to make slight alterations to your cutout hole to fill in the gap but the performance output of this unit will be worth the work. The on-demand hot water and ability to set the temperature to a specific degree instead of the old fashioned arrow knob will make camping much more enjoyable.

The # FR98SR has the following requirements to properly operate:

12VDC Power Input.

7.2-65PSI water Pressure (40-50PSI recommended). I recommend using a water pressure regulator like # CAM40064 to ensure proper water pressure.

11" WC - 14" WC (13" WC recommended). I recommend having a licensed technician check your pressure and adjust your regulator accordingly to ensure proper gas pressure.
