It can most definitely help.
The Clearsource Ultra RV Water Filter System w/ VirusGuard - 3 Canister - Outdoor # CS87FR will catch the larger parts of oxidized iron in the 5 micron filter.
A sub micron filter like the .5 filter in the middle of this system will also be able to catch and filter out some of the iron precipitate that can be in water.
The only other way would be to get a water softener system that uses salt to remove the dissolved metals and minerals from water.
