My compressor runs but takes about 30 seconds to get to 30 psi then wont pump any higher just runs. its about 1 year old and used to go to 80 psi in about 20 seconds

First take some soapy water and use that to spray on all the connection points to ensure that there is not a leak in the system. Then you will want to check the air filter that goes to the compressor to ensure that it is not clogged or damaged in some way that is preventing air from moving into the compressor. You may need to replace the Filter # F9350 if damaged.
If all that checks out you can remove the compressor and have it tested and repaired. If you are still within the 1-year warranty period you can contact Firestone about a possible replacement as well.
