I need to install a hitch on my 2012 X5 diesel and am looking at the Draw-tite one. I am planning on towing a car trailer so I would need a 7-way plug and harness along with a electric brake controller as well. Can you recommend everything I would need for this. Thank you

For your 2012 BMW X5 diesel the Draw Tite hitch part # 75600 is a confirmed fit and would work great to tow a car trailer.
For wiring you need to first start with a 4-way like the # C59236 which you'd then convert to a 7-way with the # ETBC7 which comes with everything needed to install a brake controller like our proportional Brake EVN # TK63VR which is very reliable as well.
