Question:

This seems like it will work Just remove my red D-Rings from bumper mount and attach this adapter to bumper mount. My question is with this setup then where do my safety chains get attached to now? Thx!

When using d-ring mount adapters like the Blue Ox Aftermarket Off-Road Bumper Adapter - 7/8" Pin # BX88357 you'll need to attach the safety cables, like part # RM-643, to the frame of the vehicle. Doing this over and over again can be tiresome so what you can do is attach some extensions # RM-910648-20 to the frame and run them out through the bumper for an easy attachment point for your safety cables.

That being said, I HIGHLY recommend contacting the manufacturer of your aftermarket bumper and ensuring your specific bumper is rated for flat towing. You'll also want to check the thickness of d-ring mounts to ensure that these 7/8" adapters will work. If not, then we also carry Roadmaster's d-ring adapters 3/4" # RM-035 and 1" RM-035-1.

I do also want to note that these adapters are brand specific so you would need to check the compatibility of the tow bar as well if you weren't planning on sticking with just one brand's equipment.
