Question:
I have seen some say they are able to install this mount on a 2019 Ram 1500 5th Gen new body and were able to reinstall the factory tow hooks. Is that possible. If the hitch mount share the same mounting holes, can a longer bolt be used to also reinstall the tow hooks?

Expert Reply:
The factory tow hooks will not be re-installed on a 2019 Ram 1500 using the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C87FR per the instructions. I do see how some others were able to retain them but that does not mean we can recommend this since it is not advised by the manufacturer.
Please note, you can use the receiver for vehicle recover using something like the Curt Tow Strap Loop for 2" Hitches part # C45832.
