The Atwood RV Water Heater AT94022 has a ten gallon tank which increases the overall size of the unit when compared to the Atwood GC6AA-9E. This would mean that you would need to cut a larger hole in the wall of the trailer and could have spacing issues on the inside of the trailer as well. You'd do more work installing this than the water heater would be worth.

Instead I recommend replacing your Atwood GC6AA-9E RV water heater with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater 60,000 BTU # FR98SR. It has similar dimensions at 12-5/8L x 12-13/16W x 19-3/16D so you'd only need to make slight alterations to your cutout hole to fill in the gap but the performance output of this unit will be worth the work. The on-demand hot water and ability to set the temperature to a specific degree instead of the old fashioned arrow knob will make camping much more enjoyable. The # AT94022 has a BTU rating of 10,000 versus the 60,000 BTU that the # FR98SR will give you.

The # FR98SR has the following requirements to properly operate:

12VDC Power Input.

7.2-65PSI water Pressure (40-50PSI recommended). I recommend using a water pressure regulator like # CAM40064 to ensure proper water pressure.

11" WC - 14" WC (13" WC recommended). I recommend having a licensed technician check your pressure and adjust your regulator accordingly to ensure proper gas pressure.
