The Kat's part number for the Kat's Heater the fits your 2016 Kia Sorento, is 11812. The etrailer part number for the Kat's Heaters Custom Fit Engine Block Heater - Cartridge Style - 120V - 400 Watts is, part # KH11812. If your 2016 Kia Sorento has the 2.4 I4 engine, this is the Kat's block heater that is compatible with your vehicle. This block heater will install towards the right rear of the engine on the passenger side between the middle and end of the engine. On the Kat's Heater engine diagrams it is denoted as RR in the transverse engine. I will include this diagram below.
Your vehicle also has a V6 engine option. It will use the Kat's Heaters Custom Engine Block Heater - Frost Plug Style - 120V - 400 Watts - 24 mm, part # KH11479, instead. This block heater installs in a different location. It installs in your engine's frost plug, which is at the left rear of your conventional engine (LR), in front of the master cylinder and the steering box.
I have included a product description link, video demo links, and a Kat's Block Heater diagram below.
