Tonneau Cover and Ladder Rack Recommendation for a 2022 GMC Canyon with 5 Foot Bed

Fitment on GMC Canyon Crew Cab 52 bed It looks like getting tonneaus and racks to be compatible is quite the quest. This rack seems to be a perfect albeit, non-height adjustable option for the Bak Revolver X4s. It looks like Thule has a specific track rail that I would need to buy that would fit my short short bed. But I just wanted to verify that this is the only way I could make it fit? And wondering if this kit comes with a rail, and if so, could I modify the length of the rail so I dont have to buy an additional rail from Thule?

I have a tonneau cover/ladder rack solution for your 2022 GMC Canyon Crew Cab 5' bed, but it doesn't look like Thule has a fit listed for your vehicle and the Thule TracRac SR.
The BAK Revolver X4s # BAK42VR is a great tonneau cover but for your application I recommend going with the RetraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-60454 instead because it has T-Slotted rails that allow you to install the Yakima OverHaul HD # Y01151-5855. This ladder rack will have the ability to adjust along the rails (like the TracRac SR), but it also has height adjustability, slightly smaller crossbars so more accessories will fit, and the contour of the legs matches the design of newer truck cabs so it's more sleek.
The only downside to using the RetraxONE XR and OverHaul HD is that the weight rating of the ladder rack is 300 lbs as opposed to the higher weight rating of a standard ladder rack. Most people aren't loading over 300 lbs on their ladder rack though.
