Recommendation For Upgrading Sagging Suspension On A 2018 Keystone Hideout Travel Trailer

Question:

Hello, I have a 2018 Keystone hideout travel trailer. About 9 months ago I replaced the passenger side springs with 4-leaf springs UNA-212 rated at 3,500 per axle. The sagging never was fixed and is getting worse. My question is can I replace the current springs with a 6,000 5-leaf UNA-111 springs without compromising any other components? The springs I was thinking about upgrading to were these: e34SR Thanks

Though upgrading to the 5-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles # e34SR will not compromise any of the suspension components, it will affect the ride quality of the trailer. As your 2018 Keystone Hideout has a fully loaded weight of 9,665 pounds, these springs may be a little too highly rated, in my opinion.

With that said, if the 3,500 pound springs just aren't cutting it, the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 5,000-lb Trailer Axles # e44SR will be a better option. Especially if you pair them with the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # TSS-107-40 for an overslung axle, or # TSS-106-40 for an underslung axle. You will need two kits for a tandem axle, but these are rated for use with 3,000 to 5,000 pound axles and will give you more support without affecting the ride as much as the 6,000 pound springs. And actually, they will help with body roll, sway, and uneven loads as well.
