Equal-i-zer Hitch Shank that Can be Used in 2-1/2 inch Hitch

I have an Equal-i-zer hitch model 90-00-1200/12,000lbs. It has a 2 inch shank that goes into the receiver on my vehicle, but the Ford F-250 Super Duty truck I am planning to order comes with a 2.5inch receiver. Can the shank on my hitch be replaced with a 2.5inch hank and, if so, can you tell me the part number for that shank so I can see what it would cost? Thank.

You can easily swap the shank of your Equal-i-zer kit to fit a 2-1/2 inch hitch with the part # EQ90-02-4900 which is exactly what you are looking for.

You do not need to replace your Fastway e2 Weight Distribution #FA92-00-0800. As you suspected, a new shank is all it will take to get you going again. Fastway doesn't have one for a 2-1/2" receiver, but Equal-i-zer who makes Fastway does.…

Based on what you described you need a weight distribution shank that can do 3 inches of drop. The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank #EQ90-02-4800 can provide up to 4 inches of drop and would work well for your new truck that has a 2-1/2 inch hitch.
