Question:

I am getting my new 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 long bed single rear wheel set up with a B&W Companion hitch, but I want to get some air bags put on as well. I want the heaviest duty option I can get as the camper I will be towing is heavy. I know there are some issues with air bags and 5th wheel hitches so I want to make sure it will work together. What do you have available to fit this truck?

The best and most heavy duty air bag kit for your 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 will be the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs # F2709. This American made system is rated up to 7,500 pounds of load carrying capacity at 150 psi and includes a Lifetime Warranty, which is very nice. This can also then be deflated down to 5 psi which will get you fairly close to the stock ride when you aren't towing, and on that note, there is absolutely no problem installing this with a 5th wheel hitch in the bed. This is definitely the kit I recommend.

As a potential add on to this, you may want to consider a compressor system. Specifically the Firestone Air Command II # F2219. This will allow you to inflate and deflate the bags on the fly and actually do this to each bag individually. Though not completely necessary, it is also a nice thing to have.
