Can Trunk on 2018 Chevy Volt be Opened with Trunk Mount Bike Rack Installed

Good morning, We are interested in this bike rack for a 2018 Chevy Volt. Will you be able to open the trunk of the Volt with this bike rack installed? Thank you,

Excellent choice on a bike rack! The Yakima FullBack # Y02634 is easier to install than a lot of other trunk mount racks and will look great on your 2018 Chevy Volt. The only trunk mount rack that I know of that allows you to lift your trunk or hatch without removing the rack is the Thule OutWay but it only fits certain vehicles and isn't confirmed to fit your Chevy Volt. You'll want to remove the bikes and rack because the rack could shift and it will be added weight to the lid so that could come crashing down unexpectedly.
