Can this unit be wired to the battery hotinch pin of a 7 pin vehicle plug so it can charge the battery while driving?

I do have a solution, but the PD4135K cannot be used in this way. In order to charge your battery from the 7-way you need the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger - Single Input - DC to DC - 12V/24V - 12 Amp # RED96FR.
You will be able to use the 12V from your tow vehicle via the 7-way to power the # RED96FR and charge your battery. This will keep you from overcharging the battery while allow your trailer battery to get a full charge.
