My wife drives a 2013 Prius and I drive 2013 jetta sportswagon. Is there one bike rack that fits both vehicles? 2 bike all thats needed? ? Thule th65Jv

My favorite trunk mounted bike rack, the Thule OutWay # TH45JV, will fit both your 2013 Toyota Prius and also your 2013 VW Jetta Sportswagen.

This rack holds two bikes and is not that heavy, weighing in at less than 19 lbs. The best part about this rack is the fact that it has a retractable cable system for attachment. The retractable cable system seems to hold up a bit better and the attachment cords that are coated to prevent any scratching damage to your vehicle retract into the carrier when not in use.

Thule also has a patented FitDial which will come in handy when using this with two vehicles. The instructions come with vehicle specific settings that you simply dial in your vehicle specific code and the attachment straps are set.

Since you will be carrying a women's bike, check out the Thule adapter bar # TH982XT. This bar allows you to carry a women's bike level and give it more ground clearance.

The Thule # TH65JV that you originally noted does fit both of your vehicles, however, this is a very heavy rack and fully loaded it is about 115 lbs - you may incur bumper denting issues on your new vehicles.
