Are Chain Tensioners Needed For The Glaicer Twist Link Snow Chains On a 2016 Ram ProMaster 2500?

Question:

I just purchased Glacier TwistLink chains for our Ram 2500 Promaster. Do we need to buy chain tensioners? Thanks!

With any manually adjusted tire chains like the Glacier Twist Link Snow Tire Chains # PWH2219SC that you have for your 2016 Ram ProMaster 2500, I do recommend using tensioners.

The Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster for Light Trucks # TCMA2 will help to ensure that the chains remain tight on your tires so they are not slipping in between adjustments. Having the chains snug will help prevent damage to the tires while you are using the tire chains.
