What parts are needed to install the Tekonsha TK9160 Primus brake controller on a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited?

If your 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has the factory tow package with the 7-way trailer connector at the back bumper, the install of the Tekonsha # TK90160 Primus brake controller would be a plug and play endeavor. You'll also need the # 3073-P wiring harness which would plug in to the tow package connector under the dash to the left of the steering column as shown in the provided photo.

If you don't have the tow package, you'll need to hardwire the controller. You'd begin by installing a 4 pole trailer connector, using the # 118786 trailer wiring harness. With that in place, you'd use the # ETBC7 brake controller install kit. The kit includes all the wire, hardware and circuit breakers needed to complete the installation, as well as the adapter needed to convert the 4 pole provided by the # 118786 to a 7-way.
