How to Remove Lens Cover on Replacement Light Kit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps

Question:
How do you remove the orange lens cover to get to the screws to remove/replace the light? I expected it to unscrew bit it just spins. I tried pulling but it was tight on there. Before I got a flathead and tried prying it off I thought I’d ask. Thanks!

I went out to our warehouse to see how the lens cover is attached on the Replacement Light Kit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps - Amber - 2-13/16" Diameter # LC379414. Although it looks like it could be threaded, that is just a lip to keep it attached. Prying it off is the correct way to remove the lens cover. You will see a cutout on the white backing on either side, which will allow you to use a flat head screwdriver or other tool to remove it.
