Question:
I have a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi sport package I am wanting to set up to two behind my motor coach. It has no tow hooks, and plastic front end. I want to get the road master nighthawk after I stall the baseplates, it looks like my option is Road master Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms Item # RM-298-3. Will this work with a Nighthawk? And am I correct on the baseplate? I do not want to install any blue fox as it requires a tougher install drilling. Please advise. I want to purchase the baseplate first along with the wiring Code: RM-15267.

You are absolutely correct. The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-298-3 is the base plate kit that is confirmed to fit your 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi Sport and will also be compatible with the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676 that you are wanting to use. The Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 you mentioned is also a confirmed fit for your truck so you are good to go there as well. I have also listed a couple other parts you will need to have a complete flat tow set-up for your 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport.
The 5 main things needed to flat tow your 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi Sport are:
-Base Plate Kit: mentioned above (Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-298-3)
-Tow Bar: mentioned above (Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676)
-Safety Chains: Included with the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676
-Tow Bar Wiring: Mentioned above (Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267)
-Supplemental Braking System: You have two style choices here. Hardwired or removable. The Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524 for a portable/removable system and the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR for a fixed/hardwired system. I personally recommend the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR because it is going to be a one time installation that then never has to be removed, replaced, or reset.
Depending on the height of your motorhome and your Ram you made need a high-low hitch adapter. I have provided a help article that goes over how to determine if you need a high-low adapter and which one is needed if you do. I have also included a link to our high-low adapters so that you can get the correct adapter if you determine one is needed.
