The answer is yes, the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16044 will fit into the factory puck system of your 2022 Ram 2500 with short bed. But there are additional factors to consider before using that hitch in a short bed because of the turning clearance issues that come with using a fixed hitch in a short bed. If your 5th wheel has a rotating pin box then you cannot use this hitch.

If your 5th wheel does not have a rotating pin box then you would want to measure to ensure you will have enough clearance between your 5th wheel and the cab of your truck to use a fixed hitch. You can use the following formula to determine your clearance. A-C= Clearance (A=Distance from center of fifth wheel hitch jaw to truck cab Minus C= Width of trailer divided by 2 (to get half). If you do this and you do not have at least 4" of clearance then you will need to use wither a sliding 5th wheel hitch or a rotating pin box to have enough clearance to safely turn at slow speeds.
