Does the Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner Have Soft Start?

Question:

This is in regards to the Furrion Chill AC units and its easy/soft start capabilities. Can you clarify? I also have a 2021 GrandDesign Imagine 2800BH with 2 of these newer model Furrion AC units and am wondering if my units have soft start built in.

I would be happy to clarify for you. Yes, the Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup item # FR42PV has soft start built in. The start capacitor stores energy that will later be used for the next startup. This offers an extra boost to help start the AC when the campsite or your generator doesn't provide enough power.

@John All of ours do I know that for sure! Can't speak for the rest of Furrion's 15k's that are out there.

@John Yes, it does! Both the Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner item # FR42PV in white and the item # FR32PV in black have the start capacitor that stores energy for the soft start.
