i have 2019 tundra with electric brake controller in cab...and 2016 Ranger Boat trailer with hyrulic surge brakes...how do i convert. these brakes have never worked right

The easiest solution to bypass the integrated brake controller of your 2019 Toyota Tundra with an aftermarket one that can be used with electric over hydraulic brakes is the Curt Echo Mobile part # C51180 which would plug right into the 7-way you have and once synced to a smart phone would be ready to tow with. No wiring or cutting up factory components needed at all.
