Is The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera Compatible With A 2018 Chevrolet Silverado
Updated 12/07/2021 | Published 12/06/2021 >
Question:
I have a 2019 Grand Design 287RLTS travel trailer which is pre- wired for a camera, and a 2018 Silverado 1500LT. I saw in the QandA section that a person with a newer Silverado was having to buy the $92 adapter in order provide power to the cameras. Will I have the same issue? I ask this question in the event Chevrolet changed the wiring in the newer trucks so hopefully I dont have to shell out almost $100 for the observation camera to work. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

No, you should have no issues with your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The issue with the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System w/ Side Marker Light Cameras # FCE48TASL-05 and the newer (2019-Current) GM vehicles has to do with the trailer lighting circuit not providing enough power to power the cameras.
