Yes, the Thule OutWay 2 Bike Carrier, item # TH45JV, will fit the 2008 Toyota Avalon. Be aware that the bumper cover may deform with the use of this carrier. If you remove carrier when not in use this will greatly reduce the chance of the bumper staying in the deformed position.
Another option for your Avalon is a receiver hitch and a hitch mounted bike rack. The Curt Class I Receiver Hitch, item # C11427, will work nicely with a 1-1/4 inch Class I bike rack such as our Thule Camber, item # TH9058. You would also use a stabilizer strap like # C18050 when carrying a bike rack on the Curt Hitch # C11427.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
