Recommended Receiver Hitch Mounting Point For a Winch Inside an Enclosed Trailer

Question:

I have a small enclosed trailer mostly used for lawn tractor or motorcycle transport. If I mounted this to the floor could I use to mount a small winch to pull something like a dead lawn tractor into the trailer? I have a 2500 lb winch on a 2x2 mount already. Thank you

I recommend using a Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13702 to use with the winch inside your enclosed trailer. With this receiver you will be able to mount the brackets upside down and bolt to the frame on your trailer which will ensure that the bolts to not just rip through the floor material.

The Bulldog Winch Hitch Mount Storage Bracket # BDW20154 is only intended to hold the weight of the winch and not designed with enough structural integrity for pulling with the winch.
