The Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2K Axles # AKIHUB-545-2-G-EZ-2K is compatible with standard 2,000 lb axles from most manufacturers. It looks like your Karavan probably uses a KNOTT axle and hub assembly so you will need to measure to find out if the # AKIHUB-545-2-G-EZ-2K will fit.

I have attached a diagram showing where to measure on your spindle to find the inner diameter of your bearings and grease seal. You might be able to measure bearings or find part numbers, but I believe the KNOTT hub is self contained so you may not be able to remove the bearings. I recommend using a caliper like the # PTW80157 for accurate measurements.

The # AKIHUB-545-2-G-EZ-2K uses a # L44649 inner and outer bearing with an inner diameter of 1.063" and a # 10-9 grease seal with an inner diameter of 1.5". If you find that this matches up with your measurements then this hub will work as a replacement.

I have attached a review video for your reference.

Hi Robin, I have a Karavan aluminum boat trailer that I need to replace hubs.it has disc brakes and it’s mounted on a torsion style axle. I also have the serial number of trailer if needed. I also got measurements from spindle using your chart.can you help me on getting hubs for this trailer.thank you

@Steve if you can get me those inner and outer bearing measurements from the spindle, or the inner diameter of the bearings, plus the grease seal measurement I can find a hub. Are these idler hubs and you have a hub over rotor disc brake setup? If you need rotors it is a little different since they aren't all interchangeable. I can also find parts using the serial number off of the axle tag.

@RobinH ,actually it has rotors but we want to replace it with idler hubs ,because of the salt water always rusting the brakes.this is my measurement using your diagram. B-grease seal seat,1.715 C-inner bearing seat.1.37 D-outter bearing seat.1.37 E-tread diameter 1.90 This measurements is off of spindle.

@Steve did you use a digital caliper for those? The closest bearings are the # LM48548 with a 1.375" ID or # L68149 with a 1.378" ID. The grease seal is likely the # 58846 which has a 1.719" ID and 2.565" OD. Do you have any bearing numbers visible? We don't have any hubs with that inner and outer bearing combination assuming it is accurate. How old is the trailer?
