Question:
Hello etrailer Customer Support, I have a 2 Stealth Hitch installed on my Tesla Model 3. I recently bought a bike rack for the hitch and noticed that the rack sits low and far back enough that it may scrape the ground when I drive up driveways. Do you have a recommendation on making the hitch sit higher? Thanks

Expert Reply:
I'd recommend using a high/low adapter like the Roadmaster # RM-048-4 which would raise your bike rack by 4 inches, providing additional ground clearance.
The # 391TES317 Stealth Hitch installed on your Tesla M3 has a 350 lb tongue weight capacity, and using the # RM-048-4 adapter would reduce that by 50% to 175 lbs. This means that your bike rack plus the bikes loaded on it can't weigh more than 175 lbs. If the combined weight is less than 175 lbs, a high/low adapter would be an excellent solution.
