How to Tell if Yakima EXO SwingBase Swing Away Hitch Extender Will Clear Rear Van Doors

Re: Yakima EXO SwingBase Swing Away Hitch Extender - 2 Hitches I’m very interested in this for my 2005 Ford econoline van. Can you tell me if when the sing arm is open am I going to get my back doors all the way open? Or will the door still hit the swing arm? Ty!

Expert Reply:
The Yakima EXO SwingBase Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y34VR measures 33" from the center of the receiver out to the arm. While this should be enough room for you to open up the rear doors on your 2005 Ford Econoline, we haven't test fit this application so you can use this measurement to do so.
I'm attaching a review video where we go over some of these measurements as well as a sheet showing some other dimensions of this system for you to check out.
