Activating 12-Volt Accessory 7-Way Circuit on 2007 Ford F150

Question:

i have a 2007 ford f150xl it had a 4 pin from factory i bought oem 7 pin put it on everything works exept the accessory wire pin i would like to be able to use the accessory for a trailer what should i do?

Since your F150 had the 4-pole connector, the towing circuits are most likely not fully active. To activate that charge circuit, you will need to install a fuse and relay into the fuse box. The fuse is a 30 amp in location # 106, and the relay goes in position # R05. These positions are shown in the fuse diagram on page 277 of your owners manual. You can obtain the relay from your Ford dealer or your local auto parts store.
