I am sorry to hear you are having trouble installing the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System item # TFRTT350E on your 1997 F-250 or F-350 Ford Heavy Duty. That system is a confirmed fit for your truck. Unless there are after market suspension components in the way it should fit. I have linked a couple pictures from the installation instructions. It looks like there is an existing bump stop you will have to remove and the channel it goes through must come out as well for the Timbren bracket to fit. If this doesn't solve your problem go ahead and send me those pictures and I would be happy to take a look at them.
