Question:

Hi, I intend to purchase a tow hitch and 4 bike rack for my Honda Fit 2019. I have shortlisted the following: Hitch: C11406 Rack: C18030 Appreciate if you could advise if they have any fitting issues. Also, mine is an imported JDM RHD Honda Fit, the exhaust is on the same side as the USDM LHD Honda Fit, would the tow hitch fit in the same mounting holes? Thanks

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11406 is a great choice for a trailer hitch and it fits all US models of the 2019 Honda Fit so if the exhaust on your import is the same as the US you should have absolutely no issues with fitment.

When it comes to the Curt 4 Bike Rack # C18030 we will need to look for something different though because Curt lists this bike rack as fitting a 1-1/4" hitch but it needs to be at least a Class II and the Curt you're going with is a Class I.

For a 4-bike rack that will work you can use the Swagman Trailhead # S63380 instead, which is an upgrade to the Curt when it comes to quality of the bike rack. For example, if you'd like to add a lock to the rack you can do so with part # S64029, but there isn't any lock for the Curt that you were looking at.

Another thing to keep in mind is that with a Class I hitch you'll be limited to carrying 2 bikes. If you'll be using the bike rack with another vehicle that has a larger receiver then you can definitely get the full use out of the bike rack, otherwise it might make more sense to go with a 2 bike rack instead like the Kuat Beta # B202-114, which is a significant upgrade in terms of quality to both the Curt and the Swagman.
