The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR can be used with your 2022 Ford Ranger and is a great choice for a brake controller. This proportional controller uses a 3-axis accelerometer to measure deceleration in all directions for precise braking.

The main unit can be mounted in any position, and the control knob mounts in the dash of your vehicle. The knob uses a colored LED for diagnostics and works as a manual override when pressed. Keep in mind, your truck may not have a brake controller port or plug. There should be four wires coming out of a large wire harness by the driver side firewall, left of the brake pedal, which can be wired to the brake controller wires. Additional wire may be needed.
